WORKSHOPS and CLASSES
(Introduction)workshops Spring 2026
I organize workshops for people who want to get acquainted with ikebana and workshops for advanced ikebanists and artists. This is possible for a day or a half day in consultation.
The next introduction workshop is on Wednesday April 15, 13.30 – 16.00 h at the Volksuniversiteit , Nieuwe Gracht 41 Utrecht.
On Thursday evening June 4 is another introduction workshop planned at the Volksuniversiteit, 19.30 – 22.00 h.

There is also the possibility for organizations to offer their employees or volunteers a creative ikebana workshop.
After an explanation and a short demonstration, we get to work.
The theme can come about in consultation but can also be suggested by me, depending on the season, a particular occasion or interesting material.
Lessons Spring 2026
My ikebana lessons are happening in Utrecht. I give my lessons according to the guidelines of Sogetsu ikebana from Japan.
My students are beginners, but can also be advanced.
A course for beginners of 6 lessons starts in Spring 2026 on Tuesday mostly every 2 weeks, from February to May in the evening, 19.30 – 22.00 h. The price is €40 per lesson including green materials and flowers.
The date: February 3, February 17, March 3, March 17, March 31, April 28 and a catch-up lesson on May 5.
A series of 6 lessons for advanced ikebanists and artists will also start in February 2026, Wednesday in the evening 19.30 – 22.00 h.

The date: February 4, February 18, March 4, March 18, April 1, April 15 and a catch-up lesson on April 29.
In the classes for beginners we will make two arrangements, an arrangement following the guidelines and techniques of the Sogetsu school and a free style arrangement.
With the advanced students we explore the variations of the different styles and work with themes such as line and mass, use of color, the use of unnatural materials and the relationship between ikebana and art.
All arrangements made we will discuss afterwards and put the results in a photograph.
